As I Lay Dying was scheduled to tour North America with Killswitch Engage, Miss May I and Affiance, but the band has officially announced that they will no longer be touring this Summer.
The band made an announcement on their Facebook that states:
“In light of recent events, As I Lay Dying will unfortunately not be taking part in the upcoming tour with Killswitch Engage. Given the circumstances, we feel that it is best for the band to be off the road while the current situation gets sorted. We’d like to thank all of our fans for their ongoing support at this difficult time.”.
Tim Lambesis, frontman of As I Lay Dying, was charged for alleged murder-for-hire. He allegedly hired a hitman to kill his estranged wife. He pleaded not guilty, but is still incarcerated with a $3 million bail.
Killswitch Engage announced that two new bands will be added to the tour, Darkest Hour and The Word Alive, to replace As I Lay Dying’s set.
“Since As I Lay Dying has announced they will not be able to join us on this tour…we would like to welcome Darkest Hour, and The Word Alive on the Disarm the Descent 2013 U.S. TOUR! Please welcome both bands with open arms, ROCK!”
